Hyundai Automotive South Africa has elevated one of its most accomplished leaders, Siya Qamba, to a senior executive position after a remarkable 16-year journey that saw him personally lead and contribute to the sale of more than 12,000 vehicles. Qamba’s appointment as Regional Manager for the Gauteng East Region takes effect from January 2026. The promotion underscores Hyundai’s commitment to recognising performance-driven leadership from within its ranks. Announcing the appointment, Hyundai Automotive South Africa CEO Stanley Anderson described Qamba’s rise as a powerful example of what consistency, commitment and belief in the brand can achieve. “Siya’s story is one of consistency, hard work and unparalleled commitment to the Hyundai brand in South Africa,” said Anderson. “His promotion is well deserved and serves as inspiration to many within our organisation who aspire to grow their careers through dedication and performance.” In his new role, Qamba will oversee eight dealerships across Gauteng East, managing a workforce of 349 employees—an expanded responsibility he approaches with both confidence and humility. “I am grateful to the leaders and mentors who trusted, challenged and allowed me the space to grow,” said Qamba. “Selling is in my DNA, and nothing gives me greater satisfaction than seeing a customer leave our dealership happy, knowing I have delivered on the Hyundai promise. This new role is both an honour and a responsibility, which I fully embrace.” Qamba’s Hyundai journey began in 2006 when he joined Hyundai East Rand as a Sales Executive. His exceptional performance and natural leadership soon set him apart, earning him a Branch Manager appointment at Hyundai Bruma in 2010. He later progressed to Dealer Principal roles at Hyundai Heidelberg and Kia Heidelberg, further broadening his operational experience. In 2017, Qamba took charge of Hyundai Bedfordview, leading the dealership for more than six years and delivering consistently strong business and operational results. From 2023, he served as Dealer Principal at Hyundai Boksburg, strengthening his regional expertise and reinforcing his reputation as a results-driven leader.
