Attention all rally enthusiasts! The highly-anticipated TGRSA 1000 Desert Race is set to make its return to the diamond-mining town of Jwaneng, Botswana for Round Three on June 23rd, 24th, and 25th. This will be the only marathon event on the SA Rally Raid calendar and fans can expect an exhilarating three days of off-road racing action. After a three-year absence, the TGRSA 1000 will once again be held in Jwaneng, the location of the world's richest diamond mine. The event has a long history in the town, having been held there from 2014 to 2018. The return of the rally is not only a thrill for local supporters, but also a boost for the country's economy and tourism. The organizers of the SA Rally Raid Championship have released a statement, expressing their excitement for the upcoming season. The Dakar Rally, known for its challenging terrain, is now a thing of the past and South African rally-raid competitors have proven their talent on the international stage. The 2023 season promises a variety of challenging terrain and popular events, including the return of the Malelane round in Mpumalanga and the Sugarbelt 400 in KwaZulu-Natal. A new event has also been added to the calendar, with Welkom in the Free State hosting Round Six in October. Mark your calendars and get ready for an exciting season of off-road racing action.
