In a bold move to support South African athletes on the global stage, OMODA South Africa has launched the innovative #PassTheTorch social media campaign. This initiative not only celebrates local sports talent but also cleverly intertwines motoring and fashion, making it a standout in the automotive world. The campaign revolves around the striking OMODA C5, a vehicle that has become a symbol of both style and performance. Adorned with a captivating orange-and-black wrap, the C5 was unveiled during OMODA’s recent “Breakfast Run” event in Gauteng, where it led a convoy of over 100 cars. This eye-catching vehicle is now the centerpiece of the #PassTheTorch campaign, which sees OMODA brand ambassadors, O-CLUB friends, and influencers taking on unique challenges with the car. Each participant in the campaign is tasked with a specific activity, designed to highlight their personality and the versatility of the OMODA C5. The challenge is completed by posting photos or videos on social media, showcasing the participant alongside the vehicle, dressed in a fashion-forward outfit. Once the challenge is completed, the torch is metaphorically passed to the next participant, creating a continuous chain of excitement and engagement. The campaign kicked off with Thandokazi P Mashalaba, a renowned digital content creator known for her focus on beauty, hair, fashion, and lifestyle. Thando took on a 20-minute treadmill session in her most stylish athleisure wear, perfectly complementing the vibrant aesthetics of the OMODA C5. She then passed the torch to Chantel Hoffman, another prominent content creator and proud OMODA C5 owner. Chantel completed a 20-minute power walk at an athletics track, her outfit seamlessly matching the vehicle's flame-themed design. As the torch continues to be passed, other high-profile OMODA ambassadors, including Boitumelo “Boity” Thulo, Nonkanyiso “LaConco” Conco, and internet sensation Mohale Motaung, will take on their challenges. Additionally, O-CLUB members such as Palesa Dhlomo and Sphe_Music will join in, adding their unique flair to the campaign. Launched on July 26, 2024, the #PassTheTorch campaign will run until the end of the international multi-sport tournament on August 11, 2024. However, the excitement doesn't stop there.
